1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Brookside Church website (https://app.brookside.org), mobile apps, or related services (“Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (ToS) and our Privacy Policy (view here)[^1]. If you disagree with any terms, discontinue use immediately. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction or have parental consent to use our Services. Minors are prohibited from using the app without supervision.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Prohibited Actions:
    • Engage in illegal activity, hacking, spamming, or distributing malware.
    • Share abusive, discriminatory, or fraudulent content.
    • Violate intellectual property rights (see §4).

4. Intellectual Property

All content (text, logos, media) is owned by Brookside Church or licensors. You may not:

  • Reproduce, modify, or sell content without prior written consent.
  • Use trademarks, logos, or branding for unauthorized purposes.
  • Reverse-engineer app code or infrastructure.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Fees: Prices for events, memberships, or donations are displayed upfront. Fees may change without notice.
  • Third-Party Payments: Subscriptions via Apple/Google Stores are governed by their policies (Apple, Google)[^3]. Brookside does not handle refunds for these transactions.
  • Auto-Renewal: Cancel subscriptions via your device’s store settings before renewal.

6. Privacy & Data Use

We collect personal data (email, address, IP) as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We:

  • Never sell or rent your information.
  • Use SSL encryption for sensitive data (e.g., payments).
  • May share data with trusted vendors (e.g., email services) under strict confidentiality[^2].

7. Third-Party Links & Content

External links (e.g., event partners, payment processors) are not controlled by Brookside. We are not liable for their content or practices. Review their policies before engaging[^2].

  • Limitation of Liability: Brookside is not liable for indirect damages (e.g., data loss, service interruptions).
  • Indemnification: You agree to cover costs if your actions result in legal claims against us.

9. Termination

Brookside may suspend or terminate access for violations, with or without notice. Users may stop using Services at any time.
